How I Can Help You

In my practice, I integrate several therapeutic approaches including: psychodynamic (How do my past experiences impact me today?) Internal Family Systems (How do I accept and have compassion for all the parts of myself?), strength-based (What am I proud of and what skills do I have to navigate life?), somatic (What is your body telling you?), and mindfulness based (How can I remain present in my experience?). As my client, I want you to feel seen, heard, and supported as a whole individual. Understanding your cultural influences and identities is a key part of this.

Each individual contains multitudes, and an integrative approach allows us to work together to meet your specific needs. Together we will make connections between emotions and the body, recognize patterns of thoughts and behaviors, gain new insights into where these patterns come from and develop strategies to meet your goals.

JUST THE FACTS ABOUT

Kristin Lim, LPCC

I became a therapist after working with trauma survivors in the non-profit sector. One of the central lessons I learned was the importance of safety and presence. My passion is for helping others discover their inner strength, develop their unique voice through self-trust, and break generational cycles so they can heal and thrive.

As a therapist, clients have described me as compassionate, warm, curious, and authentic.  I want to sit in discomfort with you when life feels overwhelming and out of control and to share in the joys and celebration of your wins. We all need consistent support where we can feel valued and seen. I hope to be that for you in our work together.
