My Philosophy

In our work together, we'll shine a light on the hidden roots of pain and stress. I am committed to being a vessel to help guide you on a pathway from feeling helpless to experiencing true wholeness. This journey isn’t just about healing—it’s about empowerment, helping you move from feeling stuck and helpless to embracing self-love and a deep connection with your body, soul, and spirit.

True healing doesn’t happen to us, it happens through us. It’s a process of partnering with the unique design already inside you. Together, we can explore this path, moving from pain to peace, from striving to stillness, from surviving to truly thriving. Let’s embark on this journey together, shifting from doing to simply being, and discovering the fullness of who you are meant to be.

How I Can Help You

My approach focuses on prioritizing nervous system regulation as a vital foundation to build upon and then treat from this place of rest/stillness. In this parasympathetic state of stillness, the body makes changes from the inside-out. This type of change is more easily integrated and more likely permanent as we are addressing the source of the problem rather than chasing symptoms. In doing this, your body also becomes more involved in the healing process.

Polyvagal theory informs my work as a Physical Therapist.  It explains how the vagus nerve regulates our emotions, social behavior, trauma response and mental health through the lens of our three autonomic nervous system states. Craniosacral therapy and manual vagus nerve stimulation are a large part of my work with clients to help regulate a stressed nervous system.

JUST THE FACTS ABOUT

Dr. Christy Trombley PT, DPT

I have over 2 decades of experience working with both adults and infants/children in my field. I got my start in the physical therapy world in a pediatric, hospital-based setting in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Denver, Colorado 14 years ago.

Throughout my time in Denver, I transitioned to also working with the adult population where I fell in love with nervous system work through a craniosacral therapy training program back in 2013. I started my own private practice, Be Still Physical Therapy, part-time in 2017 and transitioned to full time in 2020. I enjoy working with both adults and their families who are struggling with nervous system dysregulation, particularly those that are highly sensitive.

About Me:

When I’m not in the office you can find me spending time outside in the outdoors hiking, paddle boarding or camping, country dancing with my partner, playing with my nieces and nephew, planning my next vacation, or trying a new restaurant in town.
