My Philosophy

I believe meaningful change begins within a safe, trusting relationship. You are the expert on your own life; my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, honesty, and the clinical tools to help you move forward. Therapy should be more than a place to talk—it should help you better understand yourself, interrupt patterns that keep you stuck, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. I believe every person possesses inherent strengths and the capacity for healing. It is an honor to help clients access those strengths and pursue greater freedom, peace, and connection.

How I Can Help You

My approach is warm, relational, collaborative, and active. I will listen closely and create a nonjudgmental space for you to be fully honest, while also offering insight, asking meaningful questions, and gently challenging patterns that may no longer be serving you. Clients can expect authenticity, compassion, humor, and practical tools.

I tailor our work to your needs, personality, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My work is client-centered, strengths-based, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parts Work/Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and self-compassion practices.

In couples therapy, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. I create space for both partners to feel understood while helping you identify recurring cycles, communicate more effectively, and practice new ways of connecting during sessions.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, we will work together toward meaningful and sustainable change. I welcome your feedback throughout the process so that our work remains focused on what is most helpful to you.

JUST THE FACTS ABOUT

Andrea Eaton, LCSW

To me, being a therapist is more than a career—it is a calling. I have always been drawn to meaningful conversation and finding ways to connect with the people I meet. Over more than 15 years in the mental health field, I have worked in family therapy, community-based treatment, outpatient psychiatry, clinical supervision, and private practice. Clients often experience me as warm, authentic, humorous, insightful, and direct. I genuinely love this work and feel deeply invested in the people who trust me with their care.

About Me

I grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma, attended college in Waco, Texas, and moved to Denver for graduate school in 2009—and never left! Since then, I have built a life here with my husband and our two daughters, who bring endless joy and regularly inspire me to "practice what I preach." Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food, exploring Colorado or folding the endless pile of laundry while watching reality tv.
